Principal Profile

My name is Chelsea LaPlante, and I am the elated to serve as principal of the West Early Learners Academy.  I am honored to be given the opportunity to serve our community through this new role.
 
I have spent the last eight years as an Elementary Instructional Coach in White Settlement ISD.  I’ve had the privilege of working with the students and staff of West Elementary for six of those years in that capacity, so I look forward to continuing to develop those relationships in my new position.  Prior to being an Instructional Coach, I taught kindergarten for 4 years and second grade for 3 years, all at Liberty Elementary in White Settlement ISD.

I graduated from Texas Christian University in 2007 with my Bachelors in Education and again in 2008 with my Master of Education.  My family and I bleed purple and love cheering on the Horned Frogs!  
 
As we begin a new year at West, I look forward to working alongside the staff and families as we create meaningful learning experiences for all our students.  I am passionate about building a culture of literacy and high achievement by fostering relationships with our students, staff, and families.
