Principal Profile

My name is Chelsea LaPlante, and I am the elated to serve as principal of the West Early Learners Academy.  Setting the foundation for our youngest learners in White Settlement ISD is something I am quite passionate about.  I am honored to be given the opportunity to serve our community in this capacity.

Prior to becoming principal at West, I spent eight years as an Elementary Instructional Coach in White Settlement ISD.  I previously taught kindergarten for 4 years and second grade for 3 years, all at Liberty Elementary in White Settlement ISD.

I graduated from Texas Christian University in 2007 with my Bachelors in Education and again in 2008 with my Master of Education.  My family and I bleed purple and love cheering on the Horned Frogs!

As we begin a new year at West, I look forward to working alongside the staff and families as we create meaningful learning experiences for all our students.  I am passionate about building a culture of literacy and high achievement by fostering relationships with our students, staff, and families.

Please let me know what I can do to help make this year wonderful.  I am always an email or phone call away!
